The heart of Oregon’s High Desert…

lies a premier private fly fishing destination of five pristine private lakes. Each lake ranges from 20-70 acres and provide a range of aquatic terrain allowing for the best fly fishing around.

The deep areas are perfect for a pontoon boat to reach those big trout that are hiding in the cooler waters. The shallower weed beds play host explosive dry fly fishing, and the banks are perfect for spot and stalk fishing.

The hatches include midges, damsels, callibaties, caddis, leaches, scuds, snails, water boatman, dragonflies; you name it, Grindstone Lakes has it.

You can catch beautiful rainbows from 1 ½ pounds to over 10lbs. Most average 3-6 pounds. An experienced angler could easily catch and release fish that number in the double digit range, but no one is counting.

The fishing is world class and the lodging is supreme.

The lodge is a 3,000 sq. foot historic building. Its three stories sleep up to 18 guests and are perfect for anglers and non-anglers alike. The dining area has a large conference-like table for a corporate get-away or family event. The area can be book out to non-angling parties.
